Advocacy Work

Growing up in Evanston, I was surrounded by diverse cultures and communities. My high school organized progressive demonstrations and summits that supported marginalized identities, so I’m grateful to have experiences that helped shape my curiosity to helping my community as well as explore my Asianess and queerness. Being the only Asian kid in my classes and extracurriculars, it was still difficult to feel seen and represented. It all started when I felt inspired to reach out to more Asian peers and help organize our AAPI summit, focusing on a workshop on cultural exchange. From there, it grew into a passion that I’m proud is a part of me. In my college career, I was heavily involved in activism through organizations, programs, and events that I put my heart and soul into. And now, post-grad, I am still continuing to do the work to uplift intersectionality between minorities. Check out and learn more about all the advocacy work I’ve accomplished.
